I have been trying to connect pppoe with OpenSUSE 11 for a few days now... but without any success.
I'm a newb... so pardon the dumb question; but how does one download the programs you are using (kinternet etc) without already having an internet connection?

I have tried m8, it didnt work, I called my provider, to check if there is any problems with the connection, the answer was, that my Service name is not filled in order to connect.
I guess the problem can be somewhere else, I will keep trying,

openSUSE 11 worked fine using kinternet and firefox via dialup until I updated today using the update system. Now Firefox won't connect but Opera will. Firefox won't connect even if I run wvdial in a terminal before. I will check the current versions of kinternet, smppd, wvdial and wvstreams any other suggestions?
